Get ready to join us for a 60's "Woofstock West" day with your pooch! Wear your love beads, tie dye and flower power for the hippie costume parade or one of the many interactive contests! Best Kiss, Doxie Dash, Frisbee Fetch, Bulldog & Pug Beauty, Weenie Bobbing, Best Trick and Best in Show are the contests for prizes and fun.

Entertainment will also feature herding, agility, frisbee, and freestyle demonstrations.

Dogs will be able to try lure coursing, agility, frisbee, racing or get their photo taken surfing at the Catch-A-Wave photo booth.

Food, music and shopping round out the festival offerings.

In its ninth year, The Spring Dog Parade & Festival is the only festival in Santa Cruz County organized by dog owners to benefit dogs in need. $10 per dog entry. Each entrant receives five tickets and a Goody Bag chock full of doggy toys, treats, coupons and more! Tickets are good for raffle, contests, parade, photo booth!

Lure coursing is a heart pumping sport for dogs that involves chasing an artificial lure. The dogs get the thrill and stimulation of an all-out run, while people get to watch and photograph their dogs doing what they were born to do. A typical lure course is between 500 and 1000 yards long.

Novices are welcome - this is a play day.

Pre-register and dates and times will be sent to you on an ongoing basis as lure coursing days are scheduled. All weather updates are sent via email as well.

Entry fee of $20 gives you five tickets to spend on lure coursing runs. 1 ticket per lap. If you do not use all of your tickets you can use them at our next lure coursing event.

Bring water, a chair, camera and don't forget the dog!
